(CONVERSE) red - Macbeth

Another model made for the Project(RED) initiative [help for the global AIDS fund] of the Converse company.

The Macbeth model shoe is inspired by the famous line from Shakespeare’s play “Macbeth” (act V, scene 1), in which Lady Macbeth while sleepwalking tries to wash nonexistent blood from her hands.

Lady Macbeth.
“Here’s the smell of the blood still: all the perfumes
of Arabia will not sweeten this little hand. Oh, oh, oh!”

(CONVERSE) red - Faux Two Tones

A five piece collection made for the Project(RED) initiative [help for the global AIDS fund] of the Converse company.
The classic two tone patterns (and variations) are applied to the Chuck Taylor shoe. A merge between the posh two tones and the everyday street-style Chuck Taylor shoe. The pattern is printed, giving a shoe a faux, wallpaper look.

Evica Maćašev

"Evica Maćašev", photograph
Bečej | Small town horror (work in progress)*
www.the-mighty.com/becej

During the 70's I used to sleep over in my grandparents' (Jelena and Ivan) house in
Bečej. I used to put myself to sleep by looking at the oval portrait of my grandma when she was young. At the beginning of the 90's I came to know that the young woman in the picture was not my my grandma, but granddad's sister, Evica Maćašev. Evica committed suicide in 1930 because of the "blemished honor" by certain army officer Nešović, who she was in love with. Her body was found by the Danube river bank near Novi Sad.

The work is a part of the "Near Dark" art exhibition.

*Bečej | Small town horror is the alternative tourist campaign for my hometown based upon the media model of the small town full of horror.

Neizdrž

An illustration for the outdoor art project on the wall of the ZAPLET restaurant in Belgrade.
Neizdrž (Serbian neologism) could be translated as "incontinence of discontent". Something that you just cannot retain anymore. It is an invitation for art students to make an outdoor artwork about something that they have an unbearable urge to say.
